Weekly Stinger

Hello Farmington High School, this is Mr. Torres with your weekly update. Can you believe that we have been in school for a month?! Please check Powerschool regularly to monitor your student’s grades and attendance. We are here to support your student.

FMS is experiencing a shortage of substitute teachers. If you or someone you know is interested in being a sub, please apply on the district website. This is a great way to help our schools.

There is a viral trend on social media of students nationwide stealing items such as hand sanitizer stations, soap dispensers or defacing property. These can be considered criminal offenses and students that take part in these activities may be charged with Criminal Property Damage or Larceny. Depending on the severity, these can be misdemeanor or felony charges. We have also had an issue with fire alarms being set off due to the use of smoking devices in restrooms. This is considered disruption of the educational process. Please have conversations with your students about these issues and encourage them to report these behaviors to a staff member.
