Shout Outs:

  • All those who helped with Festival of Trees (NHS, Senate, UMattR, and Skills USA ) Riverglow (NHS, Choir) and Toys for Tots (Choir and Orchestra) and at The Bridge (Orchestra) this weekend.
  • Key Club and Sociedad Latina for helping with the SJC Luminarias
  • SkillsUSA students in their continuous community service work, hosting Diva Tech night as well as the Festival of trees at Farmington Civic Center

-Wrestling taking 1st in the Silver Bracket at Los Lunas and JV taking 3rd as a team in the Aztec Invitational.  Wycolt Henry, Taeoma Frank and Zach Small were all undefeated in their weight. 
-Girls Basketball beat Bloomfield in their home opener on Tuesday
-Boys Basketball: Runner Up at the Marv Sanders (beating Navajo Prep and Durango) and Jordan Beyale being selected to the All Tournament team.  Great job hosting FHS Athletics and the sponsor Chic Filet.  And shout out to our FHS Live students broadcasting 9 games in 3 days!
-FHS Swim and Dive team had 68 best times, Boys took 1st place and Girls took 2nd place with Aili qualifying for State in the 500 free, and Mosiah, Eddie and He la man all qualified for state in diving. 
-JROTC taking 1st Place in the Walking Group category of the Christmas Parade and 3rd Place in the Float category went to our FHS Dine’ Club.  
-Caleb Carillo being named the District 1 5A Football Player of the Year and Coach Dalton named District 1 5A Coach of the year.

-FHS Senior Chevel Shepherd singing at the lighting of the National Christmas Tree this past week which airs on RLZ HD 891 tomorrow at 6 pm.
-FHS Freshman Nathan Jemmett who plays a lead role in The Musical Elf Jr. at the Civic Center on Dec. 19 and 20th 
-FHS Special Students who decorated our tree in the FHS Commons this year.

Monday: Early Release for District training  

  • Q2 Interims will continue in ELA and Math classes this week.                
  • Orchestra Winter Concert @ SJC Henderson at 7:00pm.  


  • Young Republicans meet in room A321 and NHS meets in the Library  (attendance is mandatory) at 7:30am
  • NMHU will be on campus in the counseling office visiting with interested students
  • Boys Basketball is away at Kirtland 
  • Girls Basketball takes on Durango in the Scorpion Arena w C and JV at 4:00 and 5:30pm with Varsity Tip Off at 7:00pm    
  • Choir and Band Winter Concert is Tuesday night at SJC Henderson at 7:00pm.  Another great seasonal concert!        


  • Gaming Club (A202) Sunset Writers Club (A217) Sociedad Latina (B207), and Dine’ Club (B206) meet after school.                        
  • National History Day has a meeting in A312 before school and in the library after school    
  • Science Olympiad meets during both lunches--room D222 with Mr. Winfrey
  • Orchestra plays at The Bridge afterschool on Wednesday


  • Educators Rising (A105) FHS Helpers (A302) and BPA (A112) meet from 7:30am to 8:00am
  • ACT Math Prep is in room D223 (after school) from 3:20pm to 4:15pm
  • Chess Club is in the 3rd floor Commons (after school)            
  • JROTC Scorpion Battalion will have its formal Program Assessment in the Scorpion Arena at 8:00am Thursday morning. All cadets should meet in Class B uniform in the Scorpion Arena at 8:00 and are excused from classes until the inspection is complete. Good luck cadets!
  • Destination Imagination is meeting Thursday during both lunches in D222, Mr Winfrey’s room. This is a club designing projects involving art, math, science and engineering. You want to check it out!
  •  (Advanced) French leaves to Jean-Pierre’s in Durango for Christmas Dinner.  They leave at 4:00pm from the north parking lot.
  • BPA has their district meet @ the CATE Center from 8:00am to 2:00pm        

Thursday through Saturday, Girl’s Varsity Basketball will be at the Albuquerque Academy Tournament

Final announcements:

  •  The Fall Edgenuity Credit Recovery classes are due December 10th by 3 pm.  If you are concerned about finishing your course on time, please contact Ms. Atencio in room A317.
